Remove all contaminants from selected installation area.

We Recommend…

DO NOT USE…

Acetone

Gasoline/Diesel fuel

Brakleen

Spray penetrants

Strong detergent followed by thorough rinse

Solvents

Wipe the surface to ensure area is completely dry and residue free.

2.

Scuff the installation area with sandpaper. Do not polish! Wipe the surface again to ensure area is completely dry, grit and residue free.

3.

Determine the best position for the power cord to be located.

4.

Attach the first length of the power cord with a zip tie to prevent the weight of the cord from pulling down on the pad.

5.

Remove protective covering from pressure sensitive adhesive.

AVOID TOUCHING THE ADHESIVE.

6.

Plug the heater in for 3 to 5 SECONDS to warm the adhesive, then immediately unplug.

WARNING: The uninstalled pad will become very hot if plugged in longer than a few seconds and could damage the heater.

7.

Starting at the edge closest to the power cord, use the plastic scraper to apply solid pressure as you attach the pad to the clean, prepared surface. Smooth the entire pad to the surface.

Repeat steps 6 and 7 two more times (2x) carefully avoiding wrinkles, creases and air bubbles.

8.

Using the supplied high temperature silicone sealer, apply a small bead around the entire outside edge of the heating pad.

DO NOT force the sealer under the pad. It is important to seal the edges of the entire heater pad for weatherproofing.

9.

Route and secure the rest of the power cord to a convenient location, such as through the grille. Avoid any moving or high temperature parts (i.e. exhaust or driveline).

Use remaining zip ties to secure/route the power cord.

10.

Keep all NON-METAL surfaces such as plastic oil pan covers, noise suppressors, rock guards, fiberglass shrouds, etc., off the heater to avoid melting, warping or heater failure.

11.

AVOID USING THE HEATER FOR 8-12 HOURS AFTER INSTALLATION.
Adhesive bond will increase during this time ensuring best performance.
